What is Zupzi?

Zupzi is a free iPhone and iPad app for families that turns everyday chores into missions. Parents choose the missions and rewards; children complete them, send a photo when asked, and earn Stars a parent approves. No ads. Available on the App Store in the United States and Brazil.

In practice, you pick missions from a ready-made list of 26 or write your own, and choose how many Stars each one is worth. Your child opens a mission, checks its simple steps (a voice can read them aloud) and taps I did it! When a mission asks for a photo, she takes one with the camera. You approve with one tap, and her Stars go toward rewards you created. The whole loop is in How it works, 15 short videos.

Who built Zupzi?

Zupzi was built by a father for his two daughters, and it grows with what families ask for. It is operated in the United States.

The account belongs to a parent or legal guardian, 18 or older. Children never create accounts: a child's profile lives inside her parent's family, and she opens her own side of the app with a four-digit PIN, so a sibling can't play as her.

Where does Zupzi run?

  • iPhone and iPad, on iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. It is one app for both.
  • The App Store in the United States and Brazil. Zupzi is free there, and there is nothing to buy in the app or on this website.
  • English. The app's screens are in English. Zuzi, the voice companion inside Zupzi, answers in Portuguese when a child speaks it.
  • There is no Android version and no web app. This website presents the app; everything a family does happens in the app.

The first steps are in two short videos: Get Zupzi on your phone and Add your child.

How does Zupzi keep parents in charge?

By default, a finished mission waits for your yes before its Stars arrive (Approve with one tap), and your child asks you before she spends Stars on a reward. Both are your choice, one at a time: you can switch off approval for a mission, or turn off “Ask me first” for a reward. Zuzi and the AI photo coach both stay off until you turn them on in the Safety Center.

The app has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking software. Your child's side has no web links and no chat with other people: a child can only ever talk to Zuzi, and the full transcript of every talk is e-mailed to you. What Zupzi keeps, and for how long, is on Safety and privacy.
